Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Vanguard School is seeking a speech-language pathologist for a full-time position (5 days per week) in the English-language elementary school for the 2025-2026 school year.

Duties

You will work in a team of four speech-language pathologists.

You will help identify and recognize students experiencing difficulties, with a view to prevention and intervention.

You will work with the multidisciplinary team to develop and review the student's intervention plan, incorporating the speech-language pathology treatment and intervention plan.

You will collaborate with other team members to coordinate interventions and evaluate the achievement of objectives.

You will work with students or groups of students with specific issues to facilitate their learning and social integration.

You will advise and support teachers and explain the nature of the student's communication difficulties so that they can adapt their teaching and the educational materials used.

Knowledge and skills

  • Master's degree in Speech TherapyTwo (2) years of secretariel experience ;
  • Member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (Quebec Order of Speech Therapists and Audiologists)
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French
  • Computer skills in learning tools.
