WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Develop and implement fundraising strategies (45%)
• Work closely with directors to understand and determine the
organization's funding needs;
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan and related strategies;
• Develop, support and manage fund development and private
sector engagement events;
• Research and identify private sector grant opportunities that align with Katimavik's programmatic
priorities and geographic areas;
• Cultivate partnerships with the private sector in strategic locations of program
projects;
• Launch and manage individual donation and direct response campaigns.
Grant Management (40%)
• Research and identify private sector grant opportunities that align with Katimavik's programmatic
priorities;
• Work with the CEO to cultivate, solicit and manage key donors, including
high net worth individuals, corporations and foundations in Canada;
• Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications, including
a detailed business case tailored to private sector funders;
• Create an annual plan including major gifts, individual gifts,
corporate partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and events;
• Manage and execute reporting requirements for donors;
• Create and manage a database of potential and current donors, ensuring strong
engagement, customized management strategies, and tracking of donor
interactions/contributions.
Collaborative responsibilities (15%)
• Collaborate with digital campaign communications staff (we
are in the process of modernizing our entire digital presence);
• Evaluate the effectiveness of fund development and partnership strategies with the private sector;
• Ensure that all administrative tasks related to contracts, reporting and
donor communications are carried out accurately and in a timely manner;
• Maintain the fundraising toolkit of the participant.es to the program and manage the
training of participants
