Mechanical Design Technologist
This position is offer in Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton
Responsibilities and duties:
As part of an integrated project team, you will be reporting to the Director of the Vancouver office, this position includes a broad range of consulting tasks. Candidates will be asked to perform the following:
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems under the supervision of an engineer;
- Perform 3D modeling and drafting of piping systems using AutoCAD and Revit, including air distribution calculations, duct sizing, duct layout, refrigerant piping, chilled water piping, and diffusers/grill sizing;
- Prepare specifications and bills of quantities;
- Conduct site surveys and construction follow-ups;
Key Requirements:
- Technologist Degree;
- Certification in Mechanical or Industrial design and drafting, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience;
- Specialized in piping and mechanical building design;
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit, specifically in 3D modeling;
- Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D or Autodesk Navisworks an asset;
- Process design knowledge is an asset;
- Experience with sanitary process piping in the food and beverage industry is an asset.
